Jubilee Meadow - Bio Blitz
The BioBlitz which we carried out with the help of NWT has given us a good insight into what species we have on the field as we start on the big adventure to turn it into a more biodiverse environment and Wildflower Meadow. Below is a summary of what we found.

After a successful first season with our annuals which provided a splash of colour, we worked hard in the early Spring and a party of volunteers overseeded the strip with another batch of annual seeds. This has given us more cornflowers, poppies and corncockle .
The larger area of the meadow is planted with perennials which are making good progress. More than 100 cowslips flowered and were followed by ragged robin, red campion, bird’s foot trefoil, ox-eye daises and many more. It will be another two or three years before the perennials finally win their battle with the fast-growing grasses, but there are signs of progress.
